This is a difficult find in local retail stores. Glad it's available readily online.
The filter works very well. Takes out a lot of the chlorine smell and also the sediment in the pipes. It's not a water softener, so do expect to have that "slick" feel after you shower like you do with the big "Culligan" home based water softeners. Those are great, but cost $$$. This unit does just fine and would highly recommend it to anybody who has strong chlorine smell and old pipes with a lot of built up sediment.

To be honest, I haven't noticed a huge difference yet. We ordered the new culligan shower-head to go with it and have used the combo. at least a handful times. I guess it may just be a subtle difference and perhaps it'll be a matter of time to see a big difference but for now, it's been a subtle if much improvement at all.

We luv it we have been using the system for awhile now, we find it works great no problems with the filter. But were we live in our apt complex sometimes harsh things come thru our pipes and turn our filter a little rusty, i make sure i turn the filter around more often we usually do not have that problem. In a whole our skin is less drier and most of all that stinky smell is gone 100% of the time, and also like most reviews say it does not lasy 6 months, we take many showers long ones we usually replace it 3 - 4 months, WE LOVE CULLIGAN!!!!!!!!!!!MAHALO FOR YOUR PRODUCTS!!!!!!!! AMAZON MAHALO 4 SELLING GREAT PRODUCTS ON YOUR WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I initially approached this purchase with a lot of skepticism, but I figured at its cheap price it wasn't much to lose. But after reading some of the reviews on this site I was hopeful that there would be some benefit. For me the difference is night and day. We have very chlorinated water where I live, and it has caused bad eczema flare ups. All the lotions and prescription creams couldn't contain the flareups, but this little thing has all but eliminated them. I'm totally shocked how effective it is at removing chlorine. The only negative I would say is that these only seem to last about a month for me until I start seeing symptoms again, but I'll gladly pay $14 a month for healthy skin. Can anyone else comment on how long these last for you?

I was amazed with the quality of the filter. The chlorine smell immediately went away as well as the irritation to my skin caused by the chlorine and other impurities in the water. Highly recommend for everyone.
